This annual event was held this week and was as enjoyable as ever, with the quality of entrants is getting better each year. Three finalists from year 6 were chosen from our 5 primary schools and each finalist spoke to the judging panel and their peers. The quality of speeches on the theme of ‘My Big Ambition’ were outstanding, with topics ranging from becoming a zookeeper, a counsellor, designing a fashion brand for all religious faiths, encouraging more girls into science-based careers, a paramedic to name a few.
A massive congratulations to all involved and for getting through to the final. The judging panel of Mrs Furber, Mr N Cliffe and myself could not separate the two highest scoring schools – congratulations to Alsager Highfields Primary and Audlem St James C of E Primary who were crowned joint winners for 2025/26 and shared the trophy.
It was a truly inspiring event.
